MERRY CHRISTMAS
You will need:
Corel Paint Shop Pro
Plugin - Vanderlee (for animation)
My supplies
including tubes, frame, mask and font.
You are welcome to use your own supplies.
I created the tubes myself but I do not know who created the mask,
if anybody does please contact me so I can give full credit.
Place your mask in your masks folder.
Open a new image 450*450
Fill with red #BC2000
Layers> Load Mask from Disk > Load mask f9f40cff
Check Source Luminance, Fit to Canvas, show all mask.
Merge group. Name this layer Mask.
Resize image by 75% and bring it to the top of your canvas.
Open your frame and paste as new image.
Duplicate and move one to the right and one to the left,
posistion them in the center of your star mask layer.
See image below.
Duplicate one of the frames again.
Image>Rotate>Free Rotate>Right 90 degrees, no boxes checked.
Close off your top rotated frame and mask layer.
Name this layer top frame
Merge 2 frame layers.
Select inside of each frame,
Fill with red #BC2000
Adjust>Add noise>
Uniform checked
Noise 65%
Monochrome checked.
Add drop shadow
H&V 1,Opacity 80, Blur 5
Repeat, changing H&V to -1
Select none
Add christmas tree tubes to left frame,
duplicate mirror for right frame.
When happy with placement, repeat both drop shadows as before.
Merge with background frames. Name this layer 1.
Open your top frame, select the middle and fill with gold #B5AF46
Repeat add noise and drop shadows, same settings as before.
Open your santa tube, resize by 60% and add to gold frame.
Repeat both drop shadows.
merge with gold frame name this layer "santa"
Using your text tool
Christmas Tree Font, foreground gold #B5AF46 Background red #BC2000
Size 36, Anti-alias and Vector checked.
Print your message.
Add inner bevel
Settings
Bevel Round
Width 15
Smoothness 5
Depth 4
Ambience 5
Shininess 40
Color white
Angle 315
Intensity 30
Elevation 50
Drop shadow V1, H0, Opacity 80, Blur 1, color black.
Add any necessary copyright info, watermarks. name layer © (alt 0169)
To Animate.
Open your layer named 1 and close all other layers
Duplicate Layer 1, twice naming them 2 and 3
Highlight layer 1 Use rectangle selection tool,
Select red area of frames.
(Actual image faded to show magic ants)
Apply plugin
settings as image below.
Make sure the correct layer is highlighted in the layer palette
Repeat this plugin on both other layers, changing the random seed... randomly!!
Open all layers except 2 and 3 plugin layers
Select none
Copy merged.
Go to ani shop.
Right click, Paste as new image.
Back to PSP, shut layer 1 and open 2
Copy and paste after current frame into Ani Shop
Optimise your animation and save
