Nativity Frame
You will need
My supplies
Font SL Christmas Silhouette
Open a new image 500*500 we can resize the image later.
Fill with your green background.
Add guidelines now to help you place the 5 images you will be making.
Add horizontal guides at 100, 250 and 400.
Add vertical guides at 100, 250 and 400.
Minimise for now.
Open your red square.
We are going to make 5 different images using this square as background.
I used the dingbat SL Christmas Silhouette,
feel free to use this or any other image of your choice.
I used the characters b, c, d, l, and p.
font size 120, background color antique gold pattern.
Do the following for each image:-
type in your letter
Objects > Align> Centre in Canvas
Add drop shadow V 1, H 0, Opacity 80 Blur 1.
Edit copy merged
Edit paste as new layer on your working image.
Return to redsquare, delete font layer and start again.
Arrange all your redsquares so one is against the top left guidelines corner,
repeat for each other corner and then line up the fifth to the centre guidelines.
Merge all red frames.
Image add borders 15 symmetric color white.
Select with magic wand and fill with gold pattern.
Add inner bevel
Add drop shadow V&H 2, Opacity 60, Blur 10
Repeat drop shadow changing V&H to -2.
Image add borders 15 symmetric color white.
Select with magic wand and fill with green pattern.
Image add borders 15 symmetric color white.
Select with magic wand and fill with red pattern.
Add inner bevel and drop shadows as before.
If you wish to add corners:
Open your corner image and copy and paste.
Move to top left corner.
Either use Simple Filters top left mirror
or
Duplicate image >mirror
Duplicate image > flip
Duplicate image >mirror.
